Paper crafts

Parchment craft, Quilling, Embossing and stamping and Punch Craft are satisfying creative activities which can be started with a minimum of equipment and expenditure. They are clean, small scale and produce attractive greeting and Christmas cards, gifts, keepsakes and family heirlooms.

'Microfleur' is a system for drying flowers in a kitchen microwave so they can be added to cards or used to make ornaments and brooches and pendants.

Quilling
 Quilling uses coloured paper shapes and strips glued to cards and other backings to form patterns and pictures on gift cards, wall pictures ,boxes and ornaments and even pieces of furniture (under glass for protection).
The term 'quilling' dates back hundreds of years and comes from the use of a quill or feather to form the tiny rolls of paper which are characteristic of the craft .

Embossing and Stamping

Embossing creates raised designs on paper and card to create attractive and unique invitations and greeting cards. Stamping using rubber stamps and coloured inks can be used either alone or in conjunction with embossing. Adhesive inks and metallic powders can be used to create 'glitter' effects and some inks, when heated, produce raised patterns in many colours.

"Microfleur"tm

The Microfleur plant press allows you to arrange tiny flowers and other plant pieces and then dry them in a microwave oven in a few seconds. This rapid drying preserves the colours of the flowers which then can be used on cards or in ornaments or pictures.
